THE DANGER ZONE

BRITISH CLOSE SAFE CHANNEL.

MISUSED BY GERMANS

" The Times ” Service. (Received July 11, 11.5 p.m.) AMSTERDAM, July 10. The “ Telcgraaf ’’ asserts that the extension of the British danger zone in the North Sea includes the so-called safe Channel left by Germany. This is due to the Germans misusing the channel in order to maintain communication between the Heligoland Bight and Zeebrtigge and Rotterdam, and German harbours. Shiploads of coal from the Rhineland and Westphalia, which cannot be transported on the German railways are sent to Rotterdam and from there German ships convey tfio coal to Emdcn and Cuxliaven. Obviously Britain cannot tolerate such practices. Germany and not Britain should be asked to change her methods.
