Lucas describes this incident :—“ A blinded officer, with both ! eyes bandaged, was being led along Sloane Street. Blinded men arc, alas! not rare, and it was not the officer himself that attracted my notice, but two hue, upstanding young soldiers who, ns they passed him, saluted him with .as much punctilio as if he could see them.
