SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

BECKENHAM. The Beckenham School Committee met on Tuesday evening; present Messrs \V. \V. Charters (chairman), M’AliaW, Farraat, Eullen, Go,bb, Peek, Boon and Carlisle (secretary). Messrs M'Alister, Bullen and Carlisle were appointed* delegates "to the School Committees’ Association. The matter of the footpath round the River Road, from Sandwich Road to Corson Avenue, was bi-ought under the notice o< iho committee, and it was decided to write to the Cit.v Council urging that body to attend to the path in Question so that the children might have a clean path to school. •\L.-ra M’Alister and Bullen were appointed , Works Committee. It was reported that on Saturday afternoon the committee had arranged for a working bee to plant the school grounds aim solicited the aid of the residents In addition “ the committee, Messrs Ilulbert, Talbot, Maxwell (head master) and Gourley (assistant master) arrived on the scene, and, with r>ln of the boys, about 130 she.ter and ornamental trees wei'e planted according to “hi® plan.
