Australian snd N.Z. Cable Association. WASHINGTON, July 3. It is believed that German agents instigated the race riots at St Louis for the purpose of hindering the United States' mobilisation of troops for Europe. Tho Government has made investigations.

WAR REVENUE.

THE NEW TAXATION. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. WASHINGTON, July 3. The revenue Bills reported in the Senate will raise 1,670,000,00*0 dollars. The taxation includes: Income tax 532,000,000 dollars, excess profits 523,000.000 dollars, and spirits 110,000,000 dollars. There are also taxes on tobacco and amusements.
