DISTRICT ROLL OF HONOUR,
UNVEILED BY COLONEL R. H. RHODES.
At the Halswoll Public Hall last night a roil of honour containing tho names of all those from the districts who had gone to the war was unveiled by Colonel It, H. Rhodes, M.P. Mr E. Paterson, chairman of the Patriotic Committee, presided, and there was a largo attendance, The roll of honour contained tb« following names: Lance-Corporal J.' A. The roll of honour is neatly designed,' It is in the form of a cupboard, which when opened out- displays the namea oi the men in gold’ letterivig against a dark background. The i\)H was presented by the Patriotic CWmittee. j During tho evening a msst enjoywf able concert was provided fey Mrs E.’ Firth’s party. Songs were contributed by Mrs Gray, Miss Prentice, Miss Twose and Messrs Gallop and Bradey,i and the last-named also contributed *a recitation. Miss Halliday played the accompaniments. * ,
