RISING IN CRETE.

REVOLUTIONARIES IN CHARGE

Seventeen thousand Cretans on Sunday entered Canea withttit opposition, took possession of the public buildings, and displaced the authorities. Tho "Daily Chronicle's" Athens correspondent says that thero are now 30,000 Cretans under arms in tho island, which is in their complete possession. The "Daily Chronicle" correspondent at Athens says that M. Venezelos has arrived at Salonika with his supporters, including Admiral Coudourictes and will place himself at the head of the National Government. Athens was not aware of M. Venezelos's dramatic step.
