WOOLSTON. The committee of the Woolston Red Cross Branch met on Monday evening, Mr J. Richardson being in the chair. Reports were received from the collectors of the " Our Day" appeal. It w»s decided that all books must be hand'ed in to local Red Cross rooms on Saturday evening... Matters in connection with the approaching camiVal wore discussed, and it was decided to meet delegates from various organisations next week. The sum of £5 3s was received from the Woolstcn Rechabitcs' liodge, being tho receipts from the lodge's annlvcT3ary social and dance. Other donations received wcro £1 from Wooleton Methodiat Poor Fund and 'ls from Mrs Couplnnd.

KIRWEE. The Kirwee Bandage Class held its third session on Monday evening, in the Courtonay Agricultural and Pastoral Association's rooms. There was an attendance of twentyone members. Th» work done showed a. groat improvement in speed on the two previous sessions, nearly ninety bandages being: rolled and passed lor packing. Mr I. Lorgelly was elected chairman, Mr W. E. M'Kay secretary, Mrs G. T. Robertson was appointed cutter, Mts J. Dysart to pass work on bandages. Mrs A. E. Moffat to i.urchase material and Messrs I. Lorgelly and C. Page to pack bandages. It was decided to canvass the district en behalf of the 1 " Our Day " Fund, the ladioß io have charge cf the canvassing. A meeting of the Kirwee Ladies Red Grose Branch was held in the Courtcnay. Agricultural and Pastoral Association's rooms. Nineteen membors were present, and Mrs (t. T. Robertson presided. Mesdames J. Coffey and Gudsell were elected members. A letter was read from the secretary of the Lady Liverpool Fund, appealing for help towards Christmas gifts to soldiers at the front. It was decidsd to give contributions, and £3 3.8 s was handed in during the afternoon. Mrs Muagrave cave five pair of socks, three panto be given to the Lady Liverpool Fund, and two pair to the Red Cross Fund, for the hospital ship Marama. It was reported that the following article had been mado and handed in during the month:—4 pair mittens, 1 comforter, 3 scarves, 2 pair of bed socks, 0 pair socks, 28 handkerchiefs, 1 day gown, 1 waistcoat, 1 bed jacket, 1 pair underpants, 2 night shirts, C day shirt 3, 5 flannel vests, i pair pyjamas, and 3 face cloths (gift from Mrs G. T. Robertson). The handkerchiefs wore all made by the school children.
