LONDON, September 14.—German counter-attacks :on the British front were repulsed. The French carried their line to Bouclianvesnes and to south of Rancourt. They also reached Feuillaucourt. THE VERDUN REGION. PARTS, September 14.—German attacks on the Verdun front failed. THE EASTERN THEATRE. PETROGRAD, September 14.—The Russians report further successes on the Carpathian front. They repulsed attacks south of Jezupol. RUMANIA'S CAMPAIGN. BUCHAREST, September 14.—The Rumanians obtained successes in Translyvania, where the Austrians are still falling back. It is stated that having failed to take Dobritch the Bulgarians are retiring. BALKAN OFFENSIVE. SALONIKA, September 14.—Important advances wero made by the Allies on the Macedonian front. The Italians in the centre captured villages. THE GREEK CRISIS. ATHE.NS, September 14.—M. Dimitrakapoulis was requested to form a Ministry. M. Zaimis refused to withdraw his resignation.
