A communique says:— The Turks resumed tho offensive westward of Gumish-Knanoh, Erzingan and Oguot, but were everywhere repelled. Three Turkish regiments broke through our Turkestan regiment, hut the gallant Turkestans immediately counterattacked with the bayonet and rcoccupied the whole position. Wo drove the Turks westward with severe losses and captured the village of Tchrortuk, northward of the Euphrates. TURKISH LOSSES HEAVY. (Received September 3, 5.5 p.m.) PETROGRAD, September 2.
