These numbered bills of the war ore becoming more than an average mind can carry. We can remember such cosy ones as Hills t>o and 70, on the British front; but the Hills SO4, 295, 287, 321, 320, and so on, of Verdun, place an almost hopeless strain upon the memory for figures. May wo hope that the more famous of them will receive, after the war, if not now, some worthy name for the benefit of the future visitors who will doubtless throng to the scenes of such valorous endurance P ' There will he much to be said .also for bestowing names that mean something upon 'such members of " The TradV' as E 9 and El.
