A PROPERTY DEAL.

PALMERSTON NORTH, August 17. Two Palnierston farmers have concluded a land deal, running well over six figures, with Herriok Bros.’ property, the Qporae estate, twenty-five miles from Dannevirke.' It consists of 60b0 acres, on which are five homesteads, completely equipped, and stock comprising 10,000 sheep and 600 cattle. A London syndicate ■ invested £IOO,OOO in oil boring on the property but the work Iras been temporarily suspended owing to tho wav. The property originally was cut up and sold by tho Government in small blocks, but being then all in heavy bush it soon became aggregated. The land now is eminently suitable for close settlement.
