General Botha, who is returning from East Africa, has been interviewed here. He said the remaining German forces were being trailed, and only one end was possible; that wds not far distant. Goneral Smuts’ progress had been phenomenal.

The German askaris wero admirably led and were fine fighters. Tho machine-gun detachments wore worthy of respect, but notwithstanding nil obstacles tho progress had been phenomenal.
