ENEMY'S DAMAGED VESSELS ■ ESCAPE.

The High Commissioner reports: LONDON, July 24.

The Admiralty reports that on Saturday at midnight, near the North Hinder lightship, some light forces sighted three enemy destroyers, who retired undamaged.

Subsequently off the Schouwen bank six enemy destroyers were engaged in a running fight. The enemy were repeatedly hit, but succeeded in reaching tbo Belgian coast. One of our vessels waß hit and one officer and one man were slightly wounded.
