MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.
Tho monthly meeting of the Addmgton Bur'es«cs' Association was held, on Ihursday evening, Mr E. Parlane presiding over a good attendance. Mr S J. Lttwxg. was appointed trustee to act in conjunction witn the treasurer. It was decided fo write to the City Council and the Tramway Board 'reffarding tho .shelter in Cathedral Square. I*"was also decided to write to the Chief Postmaster and ask hiui to have a- light placed in front of the post office. Some discussion. ■ arose in regard to lighting the post office clock at Addington.und it. was decided to write to the City Council asking it to place a light in the clock. -It was resolved also to ask the council to plant shrubs around the rotunda in Jerrold Street heserve. Mr L. Maweon ottered prizes lor tlie members who procured most members for the association and for the. best attendance among members. • The annual roll-call night of tho hid 5 ey Lod"e 1.0.0. F., was held in the Ridgley Half on "Wednesday "veiling. Brother I\. Chapman, >".G.. presided over a record attendance. The delegates to the Friendly bocjetW Dispensary Committee submitted a leUKthv rap**'- CTI the I> lartorl y menting. Ihe report was adopted. The annual roll was read and resulted in fifty-two members answering to their names. After the meeting a social evening wad spent.
