MEMORIAL TABLET UNVEILED. At the morning service yesterday at Christ's College Chapel a brass tableterected in memory of the late. Colonel \Y. A. Day by the Christ's College Old Boys’ Association was unveiled. There was a large attendance of present and past pupils. Tim Rev G. S. Bryan Brown, who conducted Cue service, read a statement, in which reference was made to the good qualities possessed by the late Colonel Day, and tributes were paid to his work on behalf of the College , m d the Old Boys’ Association. His interests in all kinds of sport, including rowing, cricket and athletics, wero recalled'. and mention was made of Ins win in the Old Boys’ race when he was over forty years old. Macbeth (secretary), who, on belmlf of the Old Boys' Association, asked him to accept rad unveil the tablet, which war- engraved as follows. — In memory of Colonel William Alexander Day. Erected by members of tlie Christ's College Old Boys’ Association in recognition of his sterling work in the interests of the school, and as president of the association, and for five years as sceretary. Died Juno 24. 1914. Aged o2 years. The Union Jack was withdrawn, after which the hymn “Let Saints on Earth” was sung, and the unveiling ceremony ended.
