stuffs, etc., conducted "by Mesdaiucs .7. Stevenson and Walter Hill at the depot resulted in Hie addition of J3U to the Red Cross Sick and Wounded Fund. At the Addington saleyards on Wednesday the New Zealand Farmers' Association sold on behalf of tho depot four fat sheep, two being donated bv J. A. Pannet and ono each by J. Cunningham and H. Oliver. Another fat sheep donated by Jarman Bros. was sold by H. Matson and Co. Ten sacks of wheat were received from J. Montgomery and Co., two sacks of cockaroot Irom .T. Johnson and five sacks of walnuts from A. E. Williams. The sum of £S 2», collected bv Harry Thomas for tho Overseas Tobacco Fund, was received for remittance to London. YALDHERST.

Tho Yaldliuvst branch sent in to the head office this month 23 pairs socks. 3 bed socks. 4, balaclavas, 4 day shirts, 1 nichtshirt, i slings, 37 handkerchiefs, 4 pyjamas, 2 vests, 9 face cloths. Ot those the children made the 4 slings, 3 faco cloths and 1 handkerchief. Mrs Cox made a table centre which brought in £2 2s 6d. LITTLE RIVER. The weekly meeting of the Little River Red Cross if as held on Thursday afternoon, wheif about thirty ladies attended. It waa reported that during the week a parcel of garments had been sent to tho Chnstchurch depot, and during the afternoon sufficient work was handed in to make up another large parcel. The committeo wishes to acknowledge donations of woven'underwear garments from Mis Montgomery, bandage materia! from Mrs Buchanan, and old linen from Mrs T. Thompson, also'work from Mcsdaraas Aittei, J. Coop. Banks, Humphreys, Patten, Joblin. Line. Giddens, P. Crockett, Norrie Tavlor, Sewthwaite, Newton, R. Birdling. Usshcr, D.
