ANTI-SHOUTING MEETING

TO THE EDITOR. '

Sir,— Kindly permit me to correct an error in .your report in to-day's issue regarding last night's meeting in regard to tho above-. I did not. state that the move to obtain early closing of liquor bars and anti-shouting legislation emanated from the Reform League (the Massey. party's league). What I did say was that I was m favour of six o'clock closing, but that as regards the anti-shouting movement I was satisfied the Moderate League was behind the same, and that it was being introduced to hoodwink the people ana' keep back real prohibition.—i,am, etc., GEORGE S. THOMSON. Linwdod, May 20, 1916.
