The "Star's" correspondent telegraphs that a police party of three encountered Rua and a number of his bodyguard in the Urewera country. Rua complained bitterly that the police fought to imprison him for an offence in respect to which he had already served a sentence. Ho pulled iff his coat, saying " Take me- •if you can." There being evidence: that his followers were armed, the, police withdrew.
