OAMARU CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
[Per Press Association.] OAMARU, January 28. A .largo and representative meeting was held' to-day to resuscitate rue Chamber of Commerce. It was unanimously decided to re-form the body, and officers were erected. During, the.course of his speech Mr W. H. Rose, the chairman, stated that 22.946 acres in wheat- and 17,474 in oats, an increase of 6283 acres over the previous year, h.ad been planted in "Waitaki County in response to the appeal to grow more wheat. The serious drought had' counteracted the district's efforts to supply more grain.
