Opinions were divided, but tho presidant stated that it had been customary to give open orders tor prizes. . . Mr Knudsnri stated that it was his intention to move at the next meeting in the direction of amending the rules so that it would be made quite clear that open orders should be given for prizes. The secretary stated that he had sent, letters to all centres in regard _ to proposed organisation of patriotic work. ' Tho followin" lines had been mentioned along which centres, might work:— (1) Red Cross, work, such as is being done bv snorting bodies in many of tho centres; (2) _ holding monster swimming carnivals simultaneously in all centres; (3) an art union; and (i) raising funds, by means to be decided upon, to provide comforts for Ewimmers at the front.
