+ BUSINESS MEN TO VISIT EGYPT. The National Committee of tho Y.M.C.A. has appointed two members to represent them in Egypt, Mr W. G. Jamieson. tho chairman, of Christchurch, and Mr H. W. George, of Wellington. They will go as business | men at their own expense to study the actual conditions in regard" to the j association's work in Egypt and at the front, to assist in every possible way j the work being carried on, and to re- j port hack to the home base as to the most effective methods to be. employed. Mr George's son will accompany them, aaid will remain in Egypt as one of the Y.M.C.A. Held secretaries. The delegates will leave the Dominion next week, and will make a short stay in .Melbourne, where a conference will be hold and the. larger work for the •oming year discussed. The chairman >f the Australian committee will accompany the delegation. Cheques have been received by Mr John I. Royds, treasurer of the Nationll Committee, from the Dunedin Patriotic Society, for £IOOO. and the Oanaru committee for £250, to be forivarded to the association's representatives in- Egypt for the purchase of comforts for the New Zealand troops.
