A.S.C. 5 With reference to the shortage in mounted men, it is believed that tfiis is apparent rather than real, at least five men having volunteered for that branch, whose final acceptance has not yet been made, owing to certaiu teeth defects, which, it is understood, can he remedied. Therefore, efforts can be concentrated on filling up the infantry ranks.
