A communique states:— Slight progress was made on our right wing at the Dardanelles.

LONDON, July 29. The "Daily Telegraph's Athens correspondent learns from a secret source at Constantinople that the AustroGerman offensive, against Serbia is expected to be resumed in August. JBnyor Pasha in a proclamation exhorted the Turks, to resist because German reinforcements would shortjy arrive at Constantinople when Serbia had:been crushed. The military situation in Turkey is critical. It is believed that tho Turks would instantly gue for peaco except for a definite Gerinaiu promise of early assistance.
PRISONERS IN TURKEY. • THEIR TREATMENT. MALTA, July 29. Lieutenant-Commander Stoker, of the submarine AE 2, who is a prisoner in. Turkey, writes that he is treated as well as he expected. Ho has exercise daily with British, French, Russians and two Australians.
