CASE BEFORE THE COURT. Jsy Telegraph—Pieas Association—Copyright SYDNEY, April 27. A case of interest to sportsmen has erisen out of the hurdle race at TattersaH's meeting. The stewards fined the trainer and jjockey. of. Flute Player for excessive nse of the spurs, and yesterday at the police Court the drainer, Forbes, was charged with causing Flute Player to be ill-treated, and the jockey, Moon, with ill-treating the horse. Th<3 . charge against Forbes was •withdrawn, the only allegation against him being that he did not allow the jockey to use dummy spursi Moon, who was fined iOs, stated that the trainer had instructed him to use spurs as Flute Player was unreliable, roguish and lazy, and would stop ©therwise.
