The annual match between Canterbury College and Victoria College, Wellington, was resumed at Hagley Park yesterday in perfect weather. Oh the previous dav Victoria College had made 171, and Canterbury College had lost six wickets for 236. Continuing their innings the home team scored 423 before tho last wicket fell. Victoria College were all their second innings and Canterbury won by an innings and 135 runs. Following are the scores:—
Total . . - - 123 On Saturday the Tai Tapu Cricket Team playing on their own ground beat tho Avonsido Woolworks team by lour wickets and 88 runs. Tai Tapu made 15S for sixpickets (G/Tavlor ,2. C. Andrew 31, H. Rcid 14, Av Dmnplcton 13 retired, b. Peryman.J2). Avonside Woolworks replied with <0 (.1. Robsoa 20, Faulls 12, Spicer 11). G. Tavlor (four for 28), C Andrews (three for 7) and A, Barnett (two for 12V took the wickets for lai Tapu. and M'Closkie (four for 58) for the Woolworks.
AUCKLAND v. HAWKE'S BAY. [Per Press Association.] NAPIER, April 6. The cricket match Auckland Colts v. Hawke's Bay ended in a draw. Auckland scored 249 and 157. Hawke's Bay 360 (Board 172, Napier??, Bishop •53), and 22 for two wickets.
