THE HERMANN CASE.

In the case an accountant \nho examined the accounts gave evidence that ho found none of the proceeds of tho three bills said to have been forged went into Hermanirs private account. , All had been paid into the business of Earle Hermann, Ltd. During 1918-14 Hermann drew £1649, though entitled to a salary of £2OOO pter an7ium plus expenses, approximately £SOOO, instead of £1619. At the time of the smash in August the books showed an undrawn balance of £17.000 to Hermann's credit. The case for tho defence has closed.
