The success which attended tlic first sale of residential sections at Diamond Harbour, where the Lyttelton Borough Council is establishing a trans-harbour residential and seaside suburb, prompted the council to dispose of a. further number of sections on Saturday. The sale was held at Messrs Craddock, M.'Crostio Co.'s auction rooms at midday., and there was a good attendant of buyers, although not en large as at the first sale. The demand was not so 3rt.lt as on the former occasion, and the bidding was not so brisk. A number of sections wore passed in.
