WORK FOR BUILDING TRADESMEN.

The Wellington correspondent of the “Lyttelton Times” telegraphs:—Air H. G. Ell has met until success in his efforts to secure employment for some of the building tradesmen out of work in Christchurch. As a result of his representations the Alinister of Public Works has agreed to instruct the Public Works Department to proceed with alterations to the Christchurch Post Offico. There are additions to be provided, but these will be done by contract'. The Minister has also agreed to expedite the building of the Alatemity Home, Addington.
