FARMERS' DAY. Farmers’ Day was hold at. Lincoln College yesterday, when there was a very hvvgo attendance, including many farmers who had travelled from tho farthest ends of tho island to ha present at tiro gathering. Tho inspection of the farm an<l stock took up & 3 rcll * J part of tho morning. Tho visitors wore conveyed in drags ana motor-cars to view the fields under cultivation and tho various plots allotted to experimental work. At 1.80 p.m., tho visitors wero entertained at luncheon. Tho Hon E. C. J. Stevens, chairman of the Board of Governors, who presided, said that the year had been a satisfactory one in every way, both from tlio standpoint of work accomplished and from tho point of viow of the finances. Eight of the students had left with tho Expeditionary Force. Mr Stevens then presented tho prir.es as follows r Diploma and Gold Medallist R. IV. Rnwito. Diploma and Special Prizes for Aggregate —A.
