MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING

ASHBURTON MATCHES. A miniature rifle match was fired on the Ashburton range on Monday evening between teams representing the Foresters and Hakatere Lodges, tho former winning by 636 points to 032.' ' Tha inter-lodge competitions held at Ashburton were completed on Monday evening on the range. The remits arc as,follow: Hakatere Lodge, 7 points; Foresters, 6J points; Oddfellows, 5£ points; Druids, nil. Forty members took part in the Ashbm - - ton Club's championship enp, tho competition extending* over a scries of six matches. The following were the results:—!?. E. Fcuntaine 407, J. Clayton 405, A. E. Clarke 405, G. Parsons 404, G. Service 403, S. Sharman 402, W. J. Dalley 401. ASHBURTON LADIES' CLUB. The Ashburton Ladies' Miuiuture Rifle ; Club fired a competition match for trophies presented by Messrs J. Harris and T. | Bryant. The following scores were made:— i Miss Craigie 70, Miss A. Cox 70, Miss K. Gibson 70, Miss E. White 70. Miss I. Gibson 09, Mis 3 M, Cox 65, Miss R. Stcddart 65, Miss Clements 65. The first four will fire off for the prizes. >
