ASHBURTON. The adjourned annual meeting of ; the Ashburton Temperance Cricket Club was held on r i uesday evening, when it was decided to alter the name to the Albion Club. The proposed rules forwarded by the newly formed Ashburton Cricket Association were reall, and with a few amendments were approved of. Officers were elected as follows:—President. Mr G. W. Fowko; secretary and treasurer, Mr W. R. Andrews; assistant secretary and treasurer, Mr H. Musgrave; * committee, Messrs F. Rands, G. M'Sherry, C. Day and G. M'Kenzie; selection committee, tho captain, vice-captain, secretary and Mr M'Sherry;.delegates to Cricket Association, the captain and Mr M'Sherry. TEMUKA CLUB. The annual general meeting of the Temuka Cricket Club was held in Mr W. F. Evans's office, Temuka, on Tuesday evening. Mr C. Harbage was voted to the chair. A resolution of sympathy with the family of the late Colonel Hayhurst was carried in silence, members standing. The secretary, Mr J. R. Moore, read the annual report, which referred to the general working of the club, and showed that the receipts for the year amounted to £l9 6s (id, and the credit balance was £2 Is 3d.
