The Maori will bo the ferry steamer today. Ou Tuesday last the Waiteinata sai’ed from Sydney for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She has on board transhipments ex the steamer Rangatira. The Monowai iB due from Wellington on Tuesday next, and after being overhauled in the graving dock she will enter the ferry service in place of the Maori, which will go on to Dunedin. The Huddart-Parker Company’s intercolonial steamer Ulimaroa, due in Lyttelton to-day from Sydney, via Wellington, has the following transhipments on board ex the steamers Anglo Egyptian, Luthruger. A fairly heavy sea was running along the const yesterday, and the John Anderson was unable to work Kaikoura. The Wnk-atu, which was due to leave Lyttelton last night, postponed her departure, until to-day. To-morrow the Chatham Islands Fishing Company’s steamer Himitangi will arrive from Timaru, and after loading a lnrge ( quantity of cargo will depart for Wellington. ! Mr A. F.
