QUEEN’S THEATRE. A new scries of films will be presented at the Queen’s Theatre to-day, and among the items will be: “The Substitute,” “The Country Girl."’ “On the Steps,” “Love’s Old Drama,” “ Pathe Gazette” and “Exercises in a Riding School of Officers.” GLOBE THEATRE. The new programme which will be soreened at the Globe Theatre to-day will bo headed by a drama entitled “Between Man and Beast.” In addition the following films will be shown: “Bad Game,” “ Gaumont Graphic” and “ Exercises in an Officers’ Riding School.” GRAN D~THKATR E. The films which will bo shown at tho Grand Theatre to-day for the first time will include: “The Devil’s Eye,” “Broncho Billy, Gunman,” “Irene, the Onion Eater’s Daughter,” “Warwick:. Chronicle ” and “ Only One Shirt.” FULLER S PICTURES. “ Antony and Cleopatra.” the magnificent film which is being presented at the Colosseum this week, attracted a large and appreciative audience last night. It will be screened again tonight. HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. The varied and entertaining, programme presented at His Majesty’s Theatre last night, headed by the patriotic film entitled “England’s Menace,” proved acceptable to the audience. The same films will bo shown to-night. ' SYDENHAM PICTURES. • There was a good attendance at tho Sydenham Theatre last evening, when “ Antony and Cleopatra ” was screened for the last time. * The programme to be presented to-night is headed by the British patriotic drama entitled “England’s Menace.” The supporting films are: “The Gaumont Graphic,” “The Pursuer Pursued,” “In the Days of Slavery,” “ A Wild Sea and Stormy Sunset,” “Too Much Parcels Post,” “Pups on tho Rampage” and “Mabel’s Married Life.” THE DANDIES. The record of “The Dandies” in the past would go to prove that .they have a true conception of the desires of the Sublie. The new company of “ The •andies” appeared in the city of "Wellington for eight weqks, and comes to Christchurch with the highest creden tialsr Remembrance of the successes of Edward Branscombo companies which Have appeared here in the past should go far towards putting the newcomers in a popular light, even before the opening performance, which will take place in the Opera House next Monday night. The company possesses a quartet of versatile comedians in Messrs Roland Henry, George Taylor, Andrew Pace and Harry Webster, ably supported by Miss Naomi M’Quoin, a vivacious comedienne. The vocalists of the party are all equipped with excellent voices. They are Miss Ethel Walker, soprano; Miss Linda Bradford, contralto; Mr David Lyle, tenor. Mr Herbert Brahms is tho pianist, and Mr Arthur Keighley stage manager and producer. A feature of. the concert part of the entertainment will bo the inclusion of several well-known operatic quartets and sextets. The plan is at the Dresden.
