The stone i 3 clean and strong. /The distance driven on this block is 143 ft and the stone is in both ends yet. We are taking off the leading stopo, which is looking very well. A rise has b'en started on the stone at the end nearest to the main riiaft. A crosscut from the main level No. 8 is being produced to connect with the rise mentioned above. It is in 30ft and we have since holed through to the uprise. No. 7 level, Golden Ledge crosscut east: This has been produced 30ft. The ground passed through has been a mixture of sandstone and slate. One thousand and ninety tons of quartz has been sent to the battery and 1060 tons crushed for a return of 3610 z 7dwt of melted gold from the battery and lOlez 4dwt of bullion from cyanide, total 4620 z lldwt, valued at £lBlB 14s lid.”
