TRAIN ACCIDENT.
MISHAP AT ASHBURTON
TWO CARRIAGES DERAILED. LITTLE DAMAGE DONE. As the slow train from Christchurch was approaching Ashburton Station last evening,, about 7.20 o’clock, it jumiied tho points, and two of tho carriages, which wore filled with passengers, left the rails. ° The carriages did not overturn, but the passengers received a rather alarming shaking. Tho derailed ears were replaced on the line by a gang of men about ten o’clock. No damage was caused except the bending of some of tho rails.
