Brookes retired after winning, 6-0, 8-6. desiring to concentrate on the doubles, in which he and Dunlop have progressed a round. Brookes and Miss Lamber-Chambers won two matches in the mixed doubles. Doust defeated Spiers, 6-3, 6-4, 6-1. Dunlop defeated Do Liffe, 6-1, 6-2, 6-2. (Received Juno 4, 11.45 p.m.) Brookes and Dunlop beat Youll and Holmes, 6-0, 6-2, 6-2. PARIS, June 4. Wilding defeated Simon, 6-4, 6-0, 6-3. SOUTHBRIDGE CLUB. The third round of the ladies’ tennis tournament in counection with the Southbridgo Club was completed on Saturday, when Miss N. Hill (4) beat Mrs Chapman 111) by 40 to 39, and Miss G. Itiordan (14) beat Miss H'. Simpson (6) by 40 to 36. Miss Hill and Riordan will play oil in the final.
