All you really need to buy is the starting point the necessary medicinal ingredients, or the actual "essence" of the mixture—Hean's Essence. Did you ever think of that? You can easily make, about 12s. worth of cough mixture by using the following splendid recipe. It.makes a pint of cough mixture good for all members of the family. It is good for grand parents, grandchildren, and all the ages in between. It brings the cost of an eighteenpenny bottle of cough mixture down to less than fourpence. Obtain from your chemist or grocer one bottle of Heans Essence, mix it with sugar, treacle, and water, as per «asy directions on the label. Pour into a large clean bottle and keep ready for use. It lasts a long time and never spoils. The dose is from a few drops to a spoonful, according to the age and requirements.
