NATIONAL PROHIBITION.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —A "Worker," in Monday's " Lyttelton Times," seems a trifle scared that he will be deprived of his glass of beer, but he has forgotten that " the people of New Zealand, workers, tradesmen, merchants," in 1911 by a big majority declared in favour of national prohibition. The one thing that is lacking, a good square vote on democratic lines, is bound to come, and thousands are out to vote for the man who is prepared to give it to us. For once in our lifetime many are going to throw party claims on one side. The votes given on the Bill which Mr Massey has promised to introduce will bo examined with the keenest interest, and then the fun will begin in relegating to political obscurity the members who have refused to give us a square deal. Let "A Worker" keep his pecker up,'for when New Zealand goes dry he will soon adapt himself to the new conditions. -I am, etc., A TOILER.
