MINISTER AND PROFESSOR.
[Per Peesb Association.] AUCKLAND, May 13. At a meeting of the Auckland Presbytery, the Rev "A. Murray resigned the convenership of the Bursary Committee, on the ground that " I cannot conscientiously help students to study at a seat of learning under professors one of whom declared recently that tho Old Testament is not tho Word of God." ~ The Rev Bertram objected to an attack upon the character of men not present to defend themselves. Mr Murray replied that no man's character was attacked. The resignation was accepted.
