REPORTED IN WANGANUI DISTRICT. [Pee Press Association’.] WANGANUI, March 5. At a meeting of, the Museum trustees to-night the curator reported that ho had received information from an authoritative source that two pairs of hilias bad been seen in the bush near the Wanganui. Mr Thompson, Director of the Dominion Museum, and the Minister of Internal Affairs, had heard of this and approached the local Museum authorities askiug for information as to the locality, offering assistance to get specimens. It was decided to reply stating.that information as to the birds supposed to have been seen was meagre and that inquiries were being made, and also to ask the Government its intentions in ilia mai.tar. > .
