PRESENTATIONS.

. A largo -number of parishioners assembled in St John’s Recreation Room, Wooleton, on Tuesday night to bid farewell to their late vicar, the Rev W. H Orbell, and Mrs Orbell. Mr James Boott (churchwarden) presided. Musical items wore contributed by Mrs Pearce, Misses Parish and E. Howes and Messrs Ashcroft, Cora and _ Turner. Miss Felton was the accompanist. During the interval the chairman presented the retiring vicar with a gold chain, and Mrs Scott handed Mrs Orbell a silver tea service as gifts from the parishioners. Mr Orbell replied on behalf of himself and Mrs Orbell. During the evening the Mayor of Woolston (Mr J. Graham) expressed his appreciation of the many valuable services Mr Orbell had rendered the church and the district.
