Foster, Minister of Trade and Customs, in an interview, said that nothing more definite would be done in tho direction of the Cann-dian-Chinese trade treaty until’ the political conditions in China became more stabio. There were tremendous commercial and trado possibilities with China and Japan and all the countries bordering on the Pacific. The question of a fast freight service between Canada and China and Japan had been mooted', and was likely to bo consummated.
