DIVORCE CASES IN CAMERA. “ Times."—Sydney " Sim ” Special Cables. LONDON, August 21. At the Journalists’ Conference Mr Phillips, editor of the " Yorkshire Post,” read a paper dealing with the decision of the House of Lords regarding the hearing of divorce cases in camera. Ho said it would bo ridiculous to allow the issue of novels dealing with Divorce Court incidents grosser than anything the slackest newspaper had published. Mr Phillips said that he did not object to the severe restriction of newspapers, but it was necessary to apply the same censorship to novelists and playwrights. Mr Donald agreed, stating that tho greatest care was necessary in subediting divorce reports.
