ELMWOOD PARK.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Tho two letters which you have published over the signatures of Messrs J. Joyce and G-. T. Jones suggest that these two gentlemen believe m the wisdom of getting in early to avoid the crush. Both letters are excellent, by tho way, and were well-timed to suit tlie occasion. Both serve to illustrate how keenly alive some of our citizens are with current events. I join with Mr G. T. Jones in his congratulations to Mr Joyce “ for calling public attention to the matter,” whilst the same heartfelt gratitude will, I feel confident, bo extended by his Worship the Mayor, Messrs A. S. Taylor, F. W. Johnston, F. C. Raphael arid quite fifty other citizens who liavo been working'hard for about two years past in endeavouring to do, and will probably succeed in doing, what Mr Joyce suggests. The concluding portion of Mr Joyce’s letter,. wherein ho hopes his few remarks will arouse some patriotic individual to take “ some steps ” towards securing Elmwood Park for all time for the people is quite up-to-date.—l am, W. H. GULLIVER, Hon. Seo. Elmwood Park Committee.
