MUNICIPAL MARKET.

TO THE EDITOK. Sir, —Your correspondent, "Twenty Years a Struggler " cannot fairly claim to use the Cost of Living report in support of his trade in peas and cabbages. The conclusions arrived at by the Commissioners and statisticians are that the cost of living has not advanced so much in New Zealand as in other countries, and that the chief advance is in the produce of the soil, which probab'y includes peas and cabbages. Like all the rest of us, he must be prepared to set his bad fortune on one occasion against his better luck on another. A municipal market will not help him; quite the reverse in fact. —I am, etc., H. C. GODFREY. 1
