One complained of tho New South Wales interpretation of the Drugs and Food Act regarding labels, also of Victoria prohibiting boracic acid in butter for Australian consumption, while permitting it in butter for export. LIBEL CASE. Charles Stevens is suing the British Medical Association for libel in an alleged false analysis of n consumption cure published in a book of secret remedies. . Tho plaintiff declares that the mixture wa3 prepared from Zululand herbs and did net contain krameria. Tho case is attracting attention owing to the conflict of medical evidence. Eight doctors testified as to its benefits and euros, but others denounced its use.
