EMPLOYERS’ FEDER ATION. United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright, SYDNEY, September 13. At the annual meeting of the Employers’ Federation, tlio president made a strong appeal to every employer to join the ranks of the Federation in order to combat Union aggression. Many employers, lie said, had not the courage to stand up against tho unseen power and the depredations of such n combination, but bowed the knee to tho Unions, thus giving the impression of a non-resistance that meant acquiescence and approval of their methods. A HEAVY FINE. SYDNEY, September 13. A baker for a number of broaches of the pastrycooks’ and baking awards, was fined, with costs, a sum totalling £IOB.
THE DRIVERS’ DISPUTE.
Mr H. Hunter, secretary of the Drivers’ Federation, left Christchurch last evening to attend tho nearing of the dispute before the Arbitration Court in Wellington next week. Several witnesses called by the Union accompanied him. Witnesses _ from other centres in the dominion will also assemble in Wellington. Mr Hunter will conduct the case for the Union.
