MEETINGS OF PARISHIONERS.

SEDGEMERE. At the- annual meeting of parishioners of St Mary’s 'Church, Sedgemere, there was an attendance of twenty, the Vicar, the Rev .H. G. Hawkins presiding. Mr H. Schnelle' read the statement of accounts, showing a credit balance of £6 4s Id, which was adopted. A letter was read from the vestry of St Saviour’s, Sydenham, asking for the co-operation of the church people of the district in obtaining equitable rights for women in the government of the church. A resolution was passed approving of the object. The, Vicar nominated Mr H. Schnelle as Bishop’s warden, and Mr G. Copper was appointed people's warden. The following were appointed the vestry Messrs IT. Schnelle, G. Vince, A, M’Laughlin, H. Finch am,’ H. Cooper, T. B. Ilowson. jiin., and L. Isles. The usual votes of thanks were accorded Mr Schnelle. the lay-reader, the retiring church officers, organist, and all who had assisted in church work during the year.
