FRESH AIR FUND.

The promoters of the Fresh Ay: Fund are making their annual appeal for the assistance of the public in bringing at least one day of sunshine and brightness into the lives of the unhappy children whose hard lot is cast in the slums of the great cities of the Mother Country. ;.-.( Every nineponce subscribed to the fund will provido a day's outing with games and friends and a plentiful l>np* ply of food for a child, while ten shillings will pay for its maintenance in a country home or by the seaside for a fortnight. The whole of tho expense of management is borne by tho promoters. Subscriptions of any amount will be received at 28, St Bride Street, London, E.C.. and at tho head ofßco and the ngencies of the " Lyttejton Times" Company. Envelopes containing subscriptions should be marked "Fresh Air Fund." Tho following amounts hare been received:—
