A SOUTHERN TOUR. [From Ottr Correspondent.] WELLINGTON, May 6. Christchurch. Timaru, Dunedin am. Invercargill will be virited by the Hon Arthur M. Myers, Minister .of Railways/during a week's tour in v tho South' Island. He will leave by "Wednesday's steamer. Primarily, his pliin is to "make an inspection of the railwavs in the south, and the two big railwav workshops. He will make it his business to got into touch with the customers of the Department, and specially investigate the question of suburban services, so that ho can, from first-hand knowledge, consider on their merits the applications made to him for improvements.

Mr George Witty, M.P.. has received a telegram from the Minister of Railways, the Hon A. M. Myers, stating that he will leave for Christchurch on Wednesday evening, and that he will receive deputations at Warner's Hotel at noon on Friday.
